Congratulations to the 2011 BNB Annual Service Award Recipients!  The 31st Annual Awards Night will take place Saturday, September 24th at the Crowne Plaza in Fredericton.

In conjunction with Sports Day in Canada Sport New Brunswick is hosting an OPEN HOUSE & SPORTS EQUIPMENT DROP-OFF on Saturday, September 17th, 2011 (11am-1pm) at 900 Hanwell Rd in Fredericton.
Stop in for the FREE BBQ and drop off your old basketballs, basketball sneakers and any other second hand sports equipment you no longer use.  All donated equipment will be made available to KidSport - "So all kids can play".

Basketball New Brunswick will be offering a number of Introduction to Competition and Intro to Comp Advanced coaching courses over the next few months leading into the upcoming basketball season.  Please click below for a list of course dates and locations.  Additional courses will be added once dates and locations are confirmed.

The Fredericton-based Northside Minor Basketball Association will open its tryouts for mini and bantam age class divisions Sunday, Sept. 11, at two locations.
The mini boys (2 p.m.- 4 p.m.), mini girls (4 p.m.- 6 p.m.) and bantam boys (6 p.m.- 8 p.m.) will all begin tryouts at Devon Middle School. The bantam girls' hopefuls hit the court at Leo Hayes High School on Sunday night at 7:15 p.m.

The BNB insurance policy for 2011-12 comes into effect on September 1, 2011. Players, coaches, executive, etc are NOT covered by this insurance until they have registered as a member of BNB for the 2011-12 season.

Exception - To assist Minor associations with the large volume of participants they must register, Associations are able to register their organization by paying the Association fee and submitting an Executive list. 

This will permit their participants to be insured under their umbrella while they are finalizing member lists. Member lists MUST be in by November 30, 2011, as any participants whose names are not recorded in the office after that date will no longer be insured, until their membership registration is received.
